We thoroughly enjoyed our Everest Base Camp Trek, enhanced by an added UNESCO tour day trip at the beginning. Chij, from sales, was exceptionally helpful in accommodating the last-minute addition of my father, even securing a private room for him throughout the hike. Our guide, Khadka, was not only kind but also incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Likewise, our porters, Karna and Buddhi, were fantastic and always wore smiles.

However, I must rate this experience a 4 out of 5 due to some communication challenges we encountered. Despite confirming that gluten-free accommodations wouldn’t be an issue, unfortunately, this was not the case. My husband experienced a gluten reaction, which ultimately impacted his physical well-being. Though he didn’t require a Medevac, we opted for a helicopter ride after our stay in Pheriche. Adventure Land Nepal was instrumental in arranging this, and they were understanding when we couldn’t arrange payment until reaching KTM due to phone issues.

While the vistas were undeniably breathtaking, we were somewhat disappointed by the number of queues we had to endure to cross ridges. This was not the fault of Adventure Land Nepal but rather a miscalculation on our part. Overall, despite these challenges, our experience was memorable and fulfilling.

My Everest Base Camp journey was nothing short of amazing, and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to our guide, Khadka. Throughout every step of the journey, Khadka’s unwavering support, patience, and abundance of stories and jokes kept us going. Trekking to Everest Base Camp in winter posed its challenges, and there were moments when I doubted my ability to complete the trek. However, Khadka’s reassurance and expert guidance always helped me push through. His words “trust me, you can do it” were like a beacon of hope in challenging times. I am immensely grateful for his belief in me.

Furthermore, the accommodation arrangements were top-notch, with warm meals always available to keep us energized. This trekking experience stands out as the best I’ve ever had, thanks to Khadka’s exceptional guidance and the overall excellent arrangements.
