Detail Itinerary

Welcome to Paro International Airport, Bhutan. our guide welcome you on arrival. if time permits in afternoon we go for birding to River banks and search for Ibis bill, black- tailed Crake, Common Sandpiper, olive-backed Pipit and Dark-throated Thrush.

Morning drive Chelila pass (3890m). which is the highest pass reached by car in Bhutan. we observe for three different species of Pheasants: the colorful Himalayan Monal, flocks of Blood Pheasants and Kalij Pheasant. there is high chances to see Rose-finches, Grosbeaks and Laughing thrushes later back to Paro and Thimpu.

After breakfast we drive to Dochula Pass (3150 meter), around this area there are different birds like Fire-tailed Myzornis, Rufous-gorgeted Flycatcher, Rufous-breasted Bush Robin, Black-eared Shrike Babblers, and Yellow-billed Blue Magpie, Grey-winged Blackbird, Spotted Nutcracker, Gold-billed Magpie . we continue drive to Punakha for lunch then visit ‘ Punthang Dechen Phodrang’ and Punakha Dzong.

In the morning we drive quiet and peaceful forests. it is newly opened for tourists. whole day we explore birds – Rufous-necked Hornbill, Great Hornbill & more . we do overnight camp

In the morning we will do birding in jungle which is the habitat Nuthatch, Pied Falconet, Pin-tailed Green Pigeon, Sultan Tit, Black-backed Forktail, Red- headed Trogon, Black Eagle, Jungle Babbler, Grey-sided Laughingthrush and many more.

We do full day birding in Gelephu and find Pied Falconet, Jungle Babbler, Large Hawk Cuckoo, Pin-tailed Green Pigeon, Wreathed and Great Hornbill, Puff-throated Babbler, Indian Roller and more

In the morning look for Laughingthrushs, Tesias, couple of Wren Babbler and Parrot bills in lower alivation.

Today we look for Rufous – necked Hornbill, Green Pigeons Cutia, White-browed Shrike Babblers, Minlas, White-tailed Nuthatch, Chestnut-bellied Nuthatch & many more.

In today’s trip we chance to see Rusty-cheeked Scimitar Babblers, White-browed Scimitar Babblers, Steak-breasted Scimitar Babblers, Grey-bellied Tesia, Crested Buntings, Long-tailed Shrikes, Prinias, Rufous Woodpeckers, Common Green Magpie, Rufous-bellied Eagle, Mountain Hawk Eagle, Common Kestrel and minivets. Accommodation at hotel

Today we drive 7hrs on the way you will see some more birds and you might have missed them on other days.

In the morning we drive to Airport for farewell.
