After the trek, a restful day in Pokhara was in order before our plans were slightly disrupted by a rainstorm canceling our flight to Chitwan. However, Chij and his team fully arranged a private car, ensuring our seamless transition to Chitwan. There, an exhilarating jeep tour awaited us, offering sightings of rhinos, various deer species, monkeys, peacocks, crocodiles, and a plethora of birdlife.

Returning to Kathmandu from Chitwan, we enjoyed two days of relaxation before bidding farewell. Our final evening was marked by a splendid dinner and Nepali cultural show, courtesy of Adventure Land Nepal.

If you’re seeking the adventure of a lifetime amidst stunning mountain scenery, embarking on Annapurna Base Camp trek is an absolute must. While it’s entirely feasible to undertake the journey which was organized by Chij of Adventure Land Nepal. The trail is well-marked, offering ease of navigation. Opting for a porter can alleviate the burden of carrying a heavy backpack, allowing you to carry just essentials and marvel at the beauty around you.

Though trekking poles can be advantageous, the trek is made them awesome, and makeshift ones can be fashioned from bamboo if needed. Prior to embarking on the Annapurna Base Camp trek or a similar one, I recommend undertaking some fitness training, especially if you’re not accustomed to regular exercise. Certain sections of the trek feature steep stairs or slopes, lasting anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes.

Our group of five trekkers had an unforgettable Langtang Valley Trek – journey through the Himalayas, braving temperature swings and embracing the breathtaking scenery. Prior to our adventure, consistent communication with Chij, the owner, ensured meticulous planning. Negotiating a reasonable price and flexible itinerary added to the pre-trip ease.

Our primary guide, Khadka, was exceptional. Not only was he friendly and informative, but he also displayed excellent management skills, efficiently handling two sick trekkers. Khadka’s team, comprising assistant guide Jivan and porters Ramesh, Buddhi, and Hari, was equally remarkable. Despite our slower pace, which doubled the standard trekking time, Lochan remained patient and supportive, urging us to embrace our individual speeds. The accommodation and meals provided were top-notch.

We highly recommend requesting two guides for added security in case of emergencies. It’s also advisable to discuss your walking pace with your guide beforehand to ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
