This May, I had visited on a 12-day Nepal Package Tour, visiting a range of incredible destinations: Kathmandu, Daman, Chitwan National Park, Lumbini, Tansen, and Pokhara. Each location offered a unique mix of culture, nature, and tradition. Among them, Pokhara stood out as a peaceful retreat, with breathtaking mountain views, serene lakes, and rich local charm. Some of the highlights included the tranquil Phewa Lake, a magical sunrise at Sarangkot, and the thrilling experience of paragliding. It was the perfect combination of natural beauty and adventure!

The 12-day Everest Base Camp trek exceeded all my expectations, even during the Monsoon season! Chij provided invaluable assistance in the early stages, offering advice on the best timing and weather conditions. The trek package included convenient airport pick-up and drop-off, as well as stays in a charming hotel both before and after the trek.

My guide, Jivan, was an absolute delight! He kept me laughing, even when our flight to Lukla was canceled due to weather, or when the trek became challenging. He was incredibly flexible, adjusting the itinerary to match how I was feeling and ensuring I was always comfortable. Jivan was also very personable, engaging in conversations with me throughout the trek and during our time in the teahouses—something I noticed wasn’t common with other guides and companies. We spent our evenings playing Nepalese card games, singing, and dancing. Jivan even turned into a part-time photographer, always ready to capture the best moments.

Our porter, Ram, was equally wonderful, always polite and with a constant smile on his face, despite carrying so much weight! Every day, our bags would be waiting for us in the teahouse rooms when we arrived. He also joined us on our acclimatization days, making them even more enjoyable.
